From Fear to Flourishing - My Solopreneur Journey and More

Hello,

Welcome to my first edition of From 9-5 to Solopreneur! Here's what we have for you today.

Inspiration

In April of this year, I set out again to become a Notion creator. Given my previous attempt in 2022, where my Twitter following grew by only 10 followers a month, I had my fair share of doubts and fears. But fast forward to today, and I'm thrilled to report a following of 656, up from 145 in April!

What I want to leave with you from this is simple but powerful: the start will be challenging and the journey even harder. There will be moments when you feel like throwing in the towel. That's the solopreneur journey in all its rawness. But let me assure you, it's worth it. We can all achieve our goals with dedication, time, and effort.

Learning

This last week was a significant one for me in terms of personal growth. One key lesson is that being a solopreneur doesn't mean being alone. You can and should have a support network of friends who help you reach your objectives. My latest launch wouldn't have been successful without the support from my circle. So, reach out, send DMs, forge friendships, and strengthen your journey with the help of others.

Tool

I shared a Twitter thread about a tool that has been a game-changer for me regarding sharing links. It's a URL shortener application, a tool I believe every solopreneur should have in their arsenal. The power of a URL shortener lies in its ability to provide metrics and the flexibility to change the destination URL as required.

For instance, if I want to migrate my shop from Gumroad to Lemon squeezy, I change the destination in my URL shortener application. This directs all new accesses to my new shop, saving me from manually altering all existing links.

Here are two fantastic options on Appsumo for you:

Get Pxl.to for a one-time payment of $49 and enjoy lifetime access.

Get Linke for a one-time payment of $49 and enjoy lifetime access.

Keep pushing ahead, and remember, your journey is uniquely yours. Let's continue to learn and grow together.

Best,

Marco Elizalde
